WuXi-NextCODE

The WuXi-NextCODE genomics platform was created and refined over 16+ years for application in large-scale population genetics research at deCODE Genetics based in Iceland.  In 2013 the powerful information platform from deCODE was spun out to create a new company NextCODE Health, which in turn was acquired in 2015 by the Chinese company WuXi PharmaTech.  This genomics platform serves as a foundational infrastructure to deliver genomic solutions for the new company, WuXi-NextCODE. Today, our partnership with WuXi-NextCODE enables Claritas and our ordering health care professionals to successfully diagnosis rare disorders derived from a patient’s exome or whole genome sequencing data allowing integration into day-to-day medical practice. Further, when diagnosis eludes us, the NextCODE platform enables research access for data navigation, visualization, and cross institutional data sharing using a secure Cloud environment fueling new discoveries.

The WuXi-NextCODE solution offers access to a full range of sophisticated data analysis, interpretation, and extensive data mining services, management of data queries, rules, and consents within Claritas’ Clinical Knowledge Base, as well as data generated through Claritas’ Research Sequencing Services.
