Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome Deletion

Test Background

Deletions of the 4p terminal region are associated with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome. This condition is characterized by “Greek helmet” facies, microcephaly, growth retardation, cleft lip or palate, heart defect, and developmental delay/intellectual disability. This laboratory performs deletion/duplication by MLPA for this region.
